How To Do Halloween Stylishly

I’m guessing you may fall into one of two camps. One being you hate Halloween because you hate dressing up. It’s not your vibe. It’s a big no-no and you’d way rather look more stylish than spooky on a night out. OR, camp two, where you absolutely love dressing up for Halloween but totally hate that it means you can only pick one freaky outfit every freakin year. If you’re one of either of these, well, I’ve got just the trick (or treat? – sorry, could not resist) for you. It’s all solvable with one simple Halloween dressing hack. How can one thing satisfy both polar opposite camps, you shriek with all your ghoulish glory? Well, it’s all about subtle spooky style. Yes, a mere hinting at Halloween outfitting will tick the boxes for both Halloween loathers and lovers alike.

So if you loathe dressing up, but don’t want to be a kill joy, try out one of these low-key looks. And if you LOVE dressing up, and want a way to work some spooky styling into your everyday looks around Halloween, then check out these two looks I created with New Look.

Outfit One

A spooky skeleton T-shirt is a super chilled way to incorporate Halloween vibes without feeling too OTT. No fake blood stains and failed YouTube gory makeup tutorials here! If you don’t want to sacrifice any style, amp it up with an achingly glamorous faux fur coat and some glitzy embellished ankle boots, and go hard with the eyeliner and red lipstick. Alternatively, dress it down with jeans and trainers for an everyday vibe, or throw it on with some cosy socks if you’re on door duty for trick-or-treaters. At least it seems like you tried!

Cats – so this look is way more glamour puss than your bad luck-ridden black moggy, but that’s what we want right? I grabbed a simple laid-back tee and paired it with a pair of faux leather trousers and another glam faux fur coat. The addition of these cute cat ears elevate it to Halloween status. There’s a reason why the cat is such a popular Halloween choice – it really is that simple.

Outfit Two
Jacket – not online

Still not spooky enough? New Look has got you – it’s fine. Team a black bodycon dress with these skeleton or spider earrings for a slinky Morticia Addams kind of vibe.
