It’s hard to walk into any high street store this season without being faced by a sorbet shaded section dedicated entirely to winter pastels. Don’t get me wrong, I love a bit of baby blue and bubblegum hues, but wearing pastels at the grand height of 5″3 it’s easy to look like you’ve stolen from a child’s dress up box and walked straight into candyland. 

Saying that, my inner 5 year old self could not resist this pastel blue skirt. Teamed with a fluffy cream jumper and a teeny tiny handbag fit only for carrying my Polly Pocket collection, I’ve hardly done myself any favours in avoiding looking like a child. But my old faithful (and sadly quite battered) pair of & Other Stories boots seem to add a much needed edge to the look.
